Today marks my final day of broadcast tech this year, and I can't say I'm happy about it. I took BTech because I thought it would be a super fun way to spend my time and I heard great things about it. Now that I have been in the class for 5 months, I can truly attest to how great this calss is. I realized I had a talent and desire to do videography, it's an easy to way to express creativity and tell stories. My favorite part was being a news reporter, I got to go out and capture film and interview, it was amazing. Then I came into the lab and got to edit my own footage and creat emy own stories. There was not a single thing I would have changed about my experience, maybe I would have carried around a reporter badge to be cool. I can't wait to continue videography in BTech2 and beyond! I highly recommmend taking any type of videography class, its easy to learn and very fun to do!

I got to take my school's walkout and turn it into a broadcast story! I felt like a real reporter as I stepped out with my camera and monopod! It was so cool to be able to film something so powerful and important to not only me, but my peers as well. I'm elated that I am able to share the finished project and hopefully bring awareness to it all and help speak for the voiceless. The editing process was so fun because I got to look through all the footage and listen to what everyone said and it was all so powerful and I hope my video is able ton convey the message that was sent at the walkout of peace and unity.
